Fenland family's desperate appeal to help find missing Jimmy the cat

A Long Sutton family have issued an appeal to people living in the Stonea area to keep an eye out for their missing cat, Jimmy.

On Friday October 23 Tanja Sharp was driving from London to Long Sutton with the family pet in his cat box. Unfortunately Jimmy had an 'accident' and Tanja pulled over in the car park at the Golden Lion pub in Stonea to clean the mess.

But in a split second Jimmy managed to slipped past Tanja as she was trying to shut the car door and headed off into the adjacent caravan park.

Tanja said: "He appeared about two hours later after calling out for him constantly, but as he came back towards me the cat from the pub came out and scared him off - so Jimmy disappeared off into the darkness and after another hour or so of calling was nowhere to be seen.

"I had my 12 year old son with me and it had started to get quite cold so we left out details with the pub owners and went back home to Long Sutton.

"I have returned to the site everyday since but no sign of our cat - we are desperately worried about him as he is not in a familiar area and 20 plus miles away from home. I have joined as many of the local Facebook groups and put signs up locally. Jimmy is five years old, black with a neat white bib and is microchipped. I have also contacted the local RSPCA centres."

Tanja added: " I have had one call of a sighting of a black cat heading over one of the bridges from Sixteen Foot Bank heading in the direction of March, but apart from that no other news or sightings .

If anyone sees Jimmy please contact Tanja on 07836572272.
