Fire crews spent more than three hours putting out Wisbech bungalow kitchen fire




A kitchen caught on fire in a Wisbech bungalow last week which took a number of crews three hours to extinguish.

On Thursday at 12.57pm, crews from Wisbech and March along with a north roaming fire engine were called to a house fire on Holmes Drive in Wisbech.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish a kitchen fire in a bungalow and cleared the smoke using a positive-pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 4.10pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
