“It is an honour and a privilege to be able to continue in the role keeping all of our communities safe.”

Darryl has served as Police and Crime Commissioner since May 2021 and says he brings “a wealth of experience to the role”.

He was both a front-line police officer and a senior detective for 30 years and after reitring worked as a senior official for the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners where he lobbied Government on topics such as serious violence, economic crime and sexual offences legislation.

Darryl’s second term in office begins officially on Thursday 9th May where he will sign the Oath of Acceptance
