Man arrested after officers find suspected 'chop shop' on Upwell's Small Lode used for dismantling Land Rovers, Fiat 500 and Ford Transit

A man has been arrested after police found a suspected 'chop shop' used for dismantling stolen vehicles in Upwell last week.

Officers attended an address on Small Lode in Upwell on Thursday and found a number of vehicle parts, some of which were from Land Rovers, a Fiat 500 and a Ford Transit.

The man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles and he has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

It came after police issued advice on how to keep cars safe following a spate of keyless vehicle thefts.

This includes using crook locks or steering wheel covers, and putting keys in signal blocker cases.
