Man arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after A47 crash at Tilney All Saints

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash on the A47 this morning.

Police were called to the main road at Tilney All Saints at 7.30am following the collision, and closed off the carriageway in the Lynn-bound direction.

The Worzals roundabout near Wisbech was also shut off, as was the Terrington St John slip road. All three reopened at around 9am.

Norfolk Police confirmed that a man aged in his 50s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to hospital.

He was then transferred to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
