Fire crews from Wisbech and March attend kitchen blaze at property




A man was treated for smoke inhalation after his kitchen set on fire in Wisbech.

Three fire crews from Wisbech, March and King’s Lynn were all called out to put out the blaze at a property on Walton Road yesterday at 1.33pm.

On arrival, firefighters found that the kitchen was on fire. Crews wore breathing apparatus while they put out the fire using a hose reel.

They cleared the smoke using a positive-pressure ventilation fan.

One causality, a man, was treated for smoke inhalation.

The crews returned to their stations by 3.45pm and the cause of the fire was accidental.
