March celebrates St George’s Day
Hundreds of people turned out in the sunshine on Sunday for the annual St George’s Day Fayre in March.
The streets were rammed for the celebration of England’s patron saint and a packed programme of fun and entertainment promised something for all the family.
A colourful parade kicked off the day’s festivities when it made its way through the town centre to the Market Place.
A bustling street market boasted more stalls than ever before, and there were also funfair rides, circus skills, music and food and a host of talented street entertainers.
March Mayor Rob Skoulding said: “It was the best turn out yet. It gets better and better every year.”
He also thanked everyone who supported the day, including the many volunteers who gave up their time to help make the event possible.
