Fenland MP's honoured at new Cabinet role

Fenland MP Steve Barclay has spoken of the honour of his appointment as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care yesterday (Tuesday).

The Member of Parliament for North East Cambridgeshire gained the position after Sajid Javid's shock resignation, which was followed by Chancellor Rishi Sunak.

He said: "“It is an honour to take up the position of Health and Social Care Secretary. Our NHS and social care staff have showed us time and again - throughout the pandemic and beyond - what it means to work with compassion and dedication to transform lives.
