Time running out to nominate the people who make a difference for this years Pride in Fenland awards

Don’t forget to nominate the people you know who make a difference to others for the 2025 Pride in Fenland awards.

Fenland District Council, which runs the awards, is particularly keen to hear about young people in Fenland deserving of recognition.

Nominations for the 2025 awards opened earlier this month and close on June 2.

The council wants to hear about people in the district who make a difference, such as through being community-minded, kind, selfless, brave, or overcoming adversity.

It could be someone who has done an incredible one-off deed, a lifelong volunteer who serves selflessly or a courageous young carer.

If you know an individual, group, or young person who makes a positive difference and helps make our district a vibrant, thriving place to be, then why not nominate them?

Cllr Susan Wallwork, Fenland District Council cabinet member, said: “We have already had some fantastic nominations and are keen to hear about the other deserving people in our district.

“So far, we have not had many nominations for young people, but we know there are plenty of young people out there doing wonderful things for others. Please let us know about them.”

Nominations are not restricted to specific categories. If you know someone deserving simply complete a nomination form by clicking here.
