Wisbech show was 'pawfect' fun for dogs and their owners
It was the turn of dogs and their owners to take over from the horses for the day at Fenland Equestrian Centre.
A mixture of breeds, sizes, ages and personalities - from labradors and retrievers to spaniels and terriers - lined up on Saturday for this month’s ‘just for fun dog” show at the Wisbech venue.
“It is one of the regular events were hold here and there was a really good entry,” said Centre owner Amanda Pinder. “Our judge Lisa Pearson had a very very busy day and everyone had a lot of fun.”
There were more than 25 classes which were entered on the day.
They included classes for puppies to older dogs, for the dog with the waggiest tail and one for rescue/rehomed dogs.
Others included sections for local dogs and those from further afield and there was a fancy dress class and one for the best tricks.
The last class was for the dog that judge Lisa and the stewards would most like to take home.
Everyone went home with rosettes and there were special awards for the dogs chosen as best in show and reserve champion.
Lisa said: “Thank you everyone for a lovely day judging. So many special dogs and super humans. I did 12300 steps in that little ring today
A fun dog show is planned for every month this year with the next scheduled for May 13.
