Police name boy cyclist killed in lorry collision in Wisbech




Police have named a 10-year-old boy who sadly died in a collision in Weasenham Lane, Wisbech.

At about 8.30am on Monday (16) Kastytis Dambrauskas, of Cox Close, Wisbech, was riding his bike when he was involved in a collision with a HGV.

The incident saw Weasenham Lane closed for much of the day while accident investigators carried out checks.

The tragedy prompted an outpouring of sympathy across social media for both the family and the lorry driver involved.

One person wrote: "My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the young person who lost his life.

"My thoughts are also with the driver of the lorry who must be going through hell."
