Police officers issue three speeding tickets while on patrol in Coates

Police were out in a village responding to people's concerns about speeding.

On Saturday, officers were carrying speed checks along Coates Road, in response to residents’ concerns about people not slowing down to 30mph when driving through the village.

Three tickets were given to drivers going 37mph, 38mph, and 40mph in a 30mph zone, who all told officers they were not paying attention.

They also carried out speed checks along East Delph in Whittlesey, and the 60mph stretch of Coates Road, and no one was caught speeding on this occasion.
