Application submitted for Walpole St Andrew storage shed to be turned into horse feed shop
A village home storage shed could be turned into a shop selling animal feed if plans are approved.
Kevin Groom has submitted an application to West Norfolk Council, seeking planning permission to turn the site on Market Lane, Walpole St Andrew, into a retail premises.
The storage shed would sell horse and animal feed and bedding, and is on the same road as the popular pub, Brothers In Arms.
The site would be located behind Fern House, where the applicant lives alongside some stables.
A client mitigation statement says that due to the client’s disability, they cannot work in the “normal and accepted manner of leaving the security of their house to work in a different location”.
The statement added: “However, by working from home, she can control the number of days and hours to suit her disability”.
The application is awaiting a decision, with a consultation taking place on Friday, May 23.
