Nominate someone worthy in our new Fenland Citizen Volunteer of the Year awards
We’re looking to crown Fenland’s top volunteers – and we want your help in choosing them.
The inaugural Fenland Citizen Volunteer of the Year awards have been launched and we want your nominations.
Readers have two more weeks to put forward worthy candidates and then you can vote through an in-paper form or online to see who comes first, second and third.
The Volunteer of the Year awards recognise the efforts and achievements of the many wonderful people who give up their own time to help others in Chatteris, March, Wisbech and the surrounding villages.
To nominate a volunteer who you feel is deserving of being crowned Fenland’s Volunteer of the Year 2022, fill in the online form, attach a photo and tell us why they are a worthy winner. Nominate at fenlandcitizen.co.uk/volunteerawards
As well as receiving the Volunteer of the Year trophy, the winner will get a £70 Love2shop gift voucher.
Those who come second and third will also receive trophies, plus Love2shop vouchers for £50 and £30 respectively.
Citizen editor Jeremy Ransome said: “The Volunteer of the Year Awards are a celebration of the work of volunteers within our local communities.
“There are some wonderful people across Fenland who do their best for others and we are looking forward to receiving entries reflecting the varied and important work they do.”
The awards are supported by AJW Distribution, of Honeysome Industrial Estate, Chatteris, who deliver independent roofing and cladding supplies to trade and the public.
