Three men to face trial in Norwich charged with handling stolen goods after being arrested by King's Lynn police in Marshland St James - with vans and quad bikes seized
Three men are set to face trial after police seized vans and quad bikes following reports of suspicious behaviour.
Norfolk officers stopped a vehicle on Smeeth Road, Marshland St James in the early hours of last Thursday (January 5) - with two arrested at the scene on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
Following further enquiries, a third man was arrested at Blunt's Drove in Wisbech. At that location, two vans and three quad bikes were seized as part of the investigation.
James Smith, 24, of Summersgang Lane, Gainsborough, and John Curtis, 42, of Blunt’s Drove, Wisbech were each charged with two counts of handling stolen goods.
Phillip Keary, 56, of Cannon Street, Wisbech, faced one charge of handling stolen goods.
All three were taken to Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and were later charged.
They then appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court last Friday (January 6). They were bailed to appear at Norwich Crown Court on Friday, February 3.
