Sutton St Edmunds Village Hall is set for panto season with Rapunzel being performed by Phoenix Theatre this spring




It is panto season at one village hall later this spring when the Phoenix Theatre company presents its production of Rapunzel.

Written by Kei Bailey the panto will take audiences on a slapstick journey of adventure and laughs.

When handsome Prince Lysander’s dim-witted man servant informs circus owner crooks The Swindells about their quest to save a beautiful girl with magically long hair, named Rapunzel, who is trapped in a tower by a wicked witch, the magic and fun begins.

With lots of behind yous, and boo-hissing in store, the story unfolds led by the fabulous Dame Hilda Hogwash and her sidekick Tilly Dilly Dally as they try to save Rapunzel from the wicked witch and evil Swindells and help reunite her with her real family.

Directed by Natalie Mills with Helen Verney as the musical director, the cast is excited to share this exciting panto with audiences of all ages and abilities.

Phoenix Theatre prides itself on being fully inclusive and has company members and performers of varying abilities and disabilities.
Being performed over two weekends Saturday, March 29 at 7pm and Sunday, March 30 at 2.30pm, and then again on Saturday, April 5 at 7pm and Sunday, April 6, at 2.30pm, tickets are on sale now via ticketsource, or on the day on the door at Sutton St Edmunds Village Hall.
