Warrant leads to 'substantial' cannabis find in Chatteris




Police have found a 'substantial' cannabis factory with over 500 plants after executing a warrant at an address in Chatteris.
Officers from Fenland Policing announced the find on their Facebook page posting images of the plants and said: "Today (Wednesday) officers from the Neighbourhood and Community Action Teams enforced a warrant issued by a magistrate at an address in Chatteris.
"One hundred and 10 established cannabis plants were seized along with 393 younger plants.

"Although such police activity usually attracts a great deal of online debate about the legal status of cannabis, this is a substantial amount of cannabis taken out of circulation by officers and will help us keep it out of the hands of children within the town."
