Wisbech care home benefits from furloughed Jordy's handiwork

Residents at a Wisbech care home have a new attraction to their garden thanks to the efforts of one man during lockdown.
Jordy Jordan was furloughed due to the pandemic and so was approached by family friend Jackie Howell, lifestyle co-ordinator at Glennfield House, to build a train out of wood for the home's residents to enjoy.
Jackie explained: "We wanted the train to have wheels so we could move it around the garden for residents to see from their window and also to bring into the home so our residents can not only enjoy the train but help to plant flowers bulbs and herbs in its planters.

"While Jordy has had extra time on his hands due to being furloughed he has worked so hard with help from friends and family along the way.

"We intend to use the train for different events throughout the year. A ghost train for Halloween and we are also going to lend the train to Santa to deliver presents for our residents at Christmas.

"A big thank you to all involved in this project."
