Police arrest woman on High Street in Chatteris after driving nearly three times the alcohol limit




A woman is due to appear in court after police found her under the influence of alcohol while behind the wheel.

While on their way back to March Police Station, two Fenland neighbourhood officers were made aware of a suspected drink driver heading towards Chatteris.

They located the vehicle and stopped it on High Street in Chatteris.

The driver, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested for drink driving after she gave a reading of 100 at the roadside – the legal limit being 35.

She has since been charged and is due to appear in court in September.
