Nick Watson wins Marshland St James Buttonhole Lake qualifier for £2,000 prize match

Buttonhole Lake saw the penultimate qualifier match at the weekend and the winner was Nick Watson.

Nick drew peg 7 and in a close match weighed in 87lb 4oz to book his spot in September’s two-day final.

Nick was overjoyed to book his place in one of the area’s top match finals, with a first prize of around £2,000.

This is Nick’s second season in match fishing and was well deserved.

Second place was John Bishop on peg 20 with 86lb 12oz.

Tuesdays see Buttonhole hosting open matches, 5pm peg draw.
