Manea-based former Peterborough and Crewe Alexandra professional Tony Cliss did the honours and handed out the awards including one special one for three players: Jack Waters, Nat Cook and Sam Tuck, who were recognised for being part of Strikers for 10 years.

The evening started with presentations to the U8 and U9’s managed by Steve Tarsitano and his assistant Simon Millward.

This was the side’s first full season as a team and they enjoyed great success playing local teams so have moving into a league with more challenging and bigger clubs. The team has also attracted more players so a second Manea U8 has been created.

Awards went to: Manager’s player – Tobias Pressland; Most improved – Ethan Millward; Supporters’ player – Philip Kaciniel and Players’ player – Adomas Adomavicius.

Manea U10s managed by Matt Doggett was formed too late in the season to be entered into the league formally but have continued to grow as a team. They now have sufficient numbers to form a side for the 18/19 season.

Awards went to: Most improved – Harry Hawes and Best attitude at training – Josh Chilcott.

The commitment and good team ethic of the U13s managed by Tim Clifford resulted in a good finish to the season.

Awards went to: Most improved - William Ramsay; Players’ player - Jake Bullock; Supporters’ player - Jack Tuck and Managers’ player - Jack Rolfe.

Finally the U16s, again managed by Tim Clifford, had their best league season, narrowly missing out on the runners-up spot.

Awards went to: Club person – Isobel Ramsay; Players’ player – Adam Pritchard; Supporters’ player – Elliot Groves; Manager’s player – Charlie Pocklington.
