March Bears beat St Ives II rugby side
March Bears impressed in their away trip to St Ives II.
This was their second league game of the season, and after their last game against Shelford - which saw some great rugby from the Bears - it was hard to believe that the previous week’s performance could be any higher.
However, some called it one of the best displays by a March side for many years.
March ran in seven tries , four of which were converted, to be 43-0 up at the turnaround.
At half-time it was decided that all five subs would come on at the same time, and with the wind in their faces March managed to score a further four tries , one of which was converted, without any reply.
This win took March to the top of the table, which is well above what they hoped for after being promoted last year.
So far they have run in 17 tries and conceded only one in reply.
The man of the match award went to Harvey Davies for his superb display at scrum half.
