Jordan Gill to battle Karim Guerfi for European featherweight title at O2 Arena in February
Jordan Gill set his sights on victory after his European title fight was rescheduled.
The Chatteris boxer was originally set to battle four-time champion Karim Guerfi at the end of last year, but the bout was cancelled after the Frenchman pulled out due to illness.
Their featherweight clash will now take place on February 27 at the O2 Arena in London.
Speaking after the announcement, Gill said: "This is the chance that I have been waiting for. A win here will add to my Commonwealth title and will be a push towards my ultimate goal a world title fight.
"With a win it will improve my world ranking and put me in an excellent position with all the major governing bodies.
"I would like to thank all my supporters and sponsors, and I am sure that with their support I can bring the title back to Fenland."
Gill last fought in December, when a nasty cut on his head led to the bout being ended as a technical draw.
