Attacking midfielder John Dean returns to Fenmen

Attacking midfielder John Dean has returned to Wisbech Town from St Ives Town.

His brief stint with Wisbech last season saw him make seven appearances, scoring at home to Spalding on his man-of-the-match Boxing Day debut after joining from Corby Town.

Manager Brett Whaley said: "I was gutted to lose John after just one game when I came in last season as he was a player that had made a real impression at the club in such a short time.

"He offers something different to what we already have and I'm really excited to bring him in alongside our other attacking options. He's a quality player and a great addition."

In their final two pre-season friendlies, the Fenmen are away at Soham Town Rangers tomorrow (3pm) and Peterborough Sports on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Also tomorrow, the Reserves begin their Peterborough League Division Two campaign at Hampton FC, with a 2pm kick-off.
