LEARN MOREA bad week got even worse for Wisbech Town this evening as captain Liam Marshall left to join former manager Brett Whaley at Spalding United.
Defender Marshall is the second Fenman to follow Whaley to the Tulips since he left on December 23, striker Dylan Edge also joining the south Lincolnshire outfit.
Wisbech, who entertain Pitching In Northern Premier League promotion contenders Stamford tomorrow, have already been rocked by the resignations of interim managers Arran Duke and Mark Warren on Thursday evening.
Their departure saw Marshall take training that night, but it would be his last involvement with the club he joined, from Spalding, in July 2019.
Former Fenmen favourite Dick Creasey will become Wisbech's fourth boss in 46 days when he takes temporary charge against the Daniels tomorrow, boosted by the return from injury of right back Aaron Hart. Central defender Luke Wilson is likely to be named captain.
After Whaley quit, his assistant Chris Lenton led the side for two games, before leaving and ultimately also going to Spalding. Duke and Warren were in charge for five games.
It is not yet known who will be at the helm when Wisbech travel to face Whaley's Spalding on Tuesday.
