Wisbech Town manager Hayes: goals at crucial times and Charley Sanders red card crucial at Loughborough Dynamo in Northern Premier League south east

Wisbech Town FC manager Seb Hayes said goals at crucial times and the second-half sending-off of Charley Sanders were crucial factors at Loughborough Dynamo.

Wisbech are still second bottom of the Northern Premier League south east division after a 2-0 defeat at mid-table Loughborough.

Forward Sanders received a hotly-disputed straight red card for a tackle in the 59th minute.

Boss Hayes said: "I couldn't fault anyone.

"In the first 20 minutes we defended well. We did need to get up the pitch a little bit.

"When you're on a bad run there's a lack of confidence at the start but we grew into the game.

"The goal killed us because I thought it was nip and tuck. We won a flick, they picked up the second ball, and a ricochet falls into their striker.

"Even after that, and I don't want to put too much on our keeper, I thought he would save it."

The visitors had a good spell just before the break but could not make this tell.

Tiago Nassunculo had a couple of efforts including a header straight at the home goalkeeper.

Hayes added: "Once we had Charley sent off, which was never a red by the way, it was right in front of the dugout – we all saw it – we had to change formation to 3-4-2.

"We had a couple of half-chances. We played really well in one half.

"It's a question of getting breaks and staying in games."

Loughborough Dynamo made it safe right at the end with the visitors chasing the game.
