Leaders GER B hit nine tons

With the Cock Inn vs Parkfield North Witchford Darts League fixture being postponed, GER B took full advantage at the top of Division One, with an 8-4 home win over the GER Souls.

Roy Wojtowych, Mick Wyles and Vinnie Edwards all hit nine tons apiece for the league leaders. The only bright moment for the Souls was a 13 dart 501 leg from Mark Cross of 140, 100, 180, 45, 36 finish. He recorded 10 ton plusses for his side.

GER Posh Canaries enjoyed an important 7-5 win at Sportsman A. Darryl Martin included a maximum 180 and a 115 finish in 8 ton plusses and team mate Bob Dunlop also hit 8 tons for the GER side. Alan Cowdry recorded a very respectable 13 tons for the Chatteris side.

Sportsman B beat the Sportsman D 10-2. Dan Beaney was in fine form including a 139 finish in 10 ton plusses; team mates Steve Saunders and Paul Sage recorded 7 tons each. Mike Stevenson hit a maximum 180 and Terry Stokes had a 106 finish for the Sporty D.

Top Flight moved top of Division Two, following their 12-0 whitewash of the Five Alls. Gary Hill included a 117 finish in 6 tons and team mate Chris Nash had a 102 finish for the USC side. Reg Few and Colin Brady recorded 5 tons apiece for the Benwick side.

GER Men of March slip to 2nd. They found themselves 5-2 down to The Crown, but won 4 of the last 5 games to secure a precious point. Maurice Wojtowych included a 171 in 10 ton plusses and John Marney recorded 8 tons for the GER side. For the Outwell side, Gary Hunns recorded 11 ton plusses; Billy Luckett hit 9 tons and Polly Brenchley hit a 177.

Cassanos closed the gap at the top with an 8-4 win over GER Cunning Stunts. They played some good stuff; Matt Hubbard included a maximum 180 in 11 ton plusses; Eddie Martin hit a maximum 180 and had a 128 finish; Ian Lambe had a fine 143 finish and Shaun Wright hit 8 ton plusses. John Patyn had a good night for the GER side, recording 10 ton plusses and taking the scalp of county player Eddie Martin in the 501 singles.
