Layton Maddison's 26th-minute strike was enough to send the Fenmen through on Saturday.
In front of a crowd of 102 in Bedfordshire, The Fenmen fielded new signing Tiago Nassunculo during their win against The Walnut Boys at the Hillgrounds Leisure ground.
The winners play away to either Daventry or Kidsgrove in the Preliminary Round who replay on Monday (30) night.
Fenmen manager Seb Hayes commented: “It was a convincing 1-0 win. We weren’t at our best but we defended really well. We put right a lot of the several mistakes against Cleethorpes last week, so I’m very happy overall.”
Are things coming together? “I felt it for a while," Hayes replied. "
We were really happy until the Worksop game which really threw us as we were playing really well until that point.
“To be fair to the lads, they’ve worked hard in training and their last two performances have been outstanding.
“We’re playing catch-up in the league and we need to take this performance into the league games. We’ve played a lot of the top sides and not got our just rewards so we need to start picking up points."
Ex-Grantham Town and Boston Town forward Nassunculo came on for Danny Setchell: “Tiago can play out wide and on the left or right in a front three and made his debut off the bench league. I hope to get in a centre-half and a centre-forward,” added Hayes.
Wisbech: Wilson, Whyatt, Marshall, Kaye, Curtis, Spencer, Rogers, Setchell (Nassunculo), Richardson (Earps), Maddison, Shackleton (Hart). Attendance: 102.
