March athletes take on Fen 10 and Snowdonia Marathon




March Athletics Club had local runners competing at the Fen10 and a handful of club members supporting the event as volunteers.

Andrew Jakeman was the first runner to cross the finish line from the club.

His impressive time of 54:49 saw him finish third overall in the race.

Mark Godfrey was second for the club in 1:02:05 followed by Kanina O'Neil, Andy Cole and Michelle Prior.

Elsewhere, March AC athletes competed in the Snowdonia marathon.

The marathon is a very tough race with lots of elevation throughout the course.

Emms Tuck and David Burgess led the way, finishing in 3:33:49. Carole and Gary Davis also completed the marathon in 6:03:16.
