Leverington Three Counties Running Club's Michelle Brown first member home at King's Lynn Parkrun
This weekend was all about the parkruns for Three Counties Running Club (TCRC).
These runs are great for the club members, whatever age, or ability, to get those few extra miles in, chase the PB’s, embrace and encourage new runners, return from injury runs, volunteer and still feel part of something or for the social of coffee and cake afterwards.
King's Lynn Parkrun had a very big field of 417 runners with seven of them from TCRC.
First home for the club in 42nd position, 3rd female overall and 1st in age was Michelle Brown in a fantastic time of 21:31, not far off her PB and a second ahead of club member Andi Woolley in a great time of 21:32.
Nick Clarey was next in 23:25 with a close finish between Sarah Johnson and Sarah Melton-Whitelam finishing in times of 24:32 and 24:33 respectively. Steve Whitelam finished with a fantastic PB of 27:45 and Lisa Woolley with a great finish of 31:41.
A very windy not so 'sunny Hunny' saw seven members tackle the windy seafront at Hunstanton. It seemed to be headwind for the entire out and back route but members still recorded some great times.
Samuel Quail finished in 20th position out of 117 runners in a time of 25:58 followed by Jonathon Quail in 26:00, Donna Johnson 27:43, Victoria May 28:35, Matt Hunter 28:36, Alice Lines 37:37 and Laura Vincent 37:38.
A 308-runner field at Wimpole Estate saw husband and wife members, Stephen and Sandra Rhodes have a great run with some great times. Stephen finished in 52nd position and 3rd in age with a time of 23:59 with Sandra finishing in a time of 34:45.
Melvin Green had another fantastic result at March finishing in 44th position out of 147 runners in a great time of 28:31.
Salcey Forest is a one-lap parkrun through the forest on a mixture of gravel and trail paths and the possibility of some muddy sections. Colin Apps finished in 25th position out of a field of 179 runners in a great time of 24:16.
It was a bit of a damp start at junior parkrun on Sunday with fine rain all morning. There was a smaller field this week of 27 runners braving the rain with nine of them being TCRC's.
Maisie Macdonald was first to cross the line over 30 seconds ahead of 2nd place in a time of 8:51 followed by Keira Fines 9:40, Isaac Western 10:35, Ronnie Watts 10:56, Hayden Hall 10:57, Frankie Watts 11:47, Stephanie Harbord 12:12, Kallum Hall 13:21 and Molli Western as assistant tail walker in 22:23.
Next weekend TCRC will be running in the rescheduled Hereward Relay and also the Shouldham XC Series.
