Adam Millson rescued a point for the Fenmen with a second-half goal in their UCL derby draw on Saturday.

Former Fenman Scott Carter had put the visitors ahead on 33 minutes but good work by Michael Frew set up midfielder Millson with the equaliser after 51 minutes at the Elgood’s Stadium.

Ex-Yaxley boss Brett Whaley’s Wisbech troops are 11th in the United Counties League Premier table.

They go to fourth from bottom Wellingborough Town next Saturday and in the Cambs Invitation Cup host Hardwick FC on Tuesday.

Wisbech Reserves have announced two signings: Darren Hurst from Outwell Swifts and Mattie Thrower from Wisbech St Mary.

The March Town FC first team ran out 5-2 victors over Dereham Town Reserves but the Hares Reserves lost 2-0 at Houghton & Wyton in the Creake Shield.

At home at the GER the Hares proved too strong for the Magpies in a mixed game with both teams having good periods of play.

Goals from Barber, Cooke and Odain gave the Hares a 3-1 lead at the break. The visitors had much of the possession and play for the first half of the second period and pulled it back to 3-2, but two wonderful goals from Liam Merryweather finished them off.

Sitting eleventh in Thurlow Nunn League Division One, March Town have an away derby next Saturday at fourth-spot King’s Lynn Town Reserves, who are fresh from beating basement side Needham Market 10-1.
