Marshland St James ready for angling again
Matches restart at Buttonhole Lake in Marshland St James today (Saturday), April 3, with Qualifier 1.
There will be 16 qualifiers in total with one angler per match booking a place in the two-day final, where there is £1,500 for the winner and cash prizes for every finalist.
Buttonhole Lake runs Tuesday night floodlit matches and the lake has a great stock of carp, barbel, rudd, roach, chub, bream and perch.
Day tickets are available at Buttonhole and any angler who fishes on Wednesday, April 7 will receive a free kilo of fish pellets if they say they read it in the Fenland Citizen.
One recent visitor on a day ticket was Pete Marson (pictured), who was delighted with this fine-looking carp.
