Skaters Scorpions Roller Hockey Club host fun filled tournament
The Skaters Scorpions Roller Hockey Club held their home tournament at The Neale Wade Academy.
The young scorpions beat Soham 12-2, before triumphing 8-2 against King’s Lynn.
Against Letchworth, a 7-7 draw was the outcome - and the final match against ECU was deemed a Scorpions win due to their opponents fielding an overage player.
The senior team opened their account in the ECRHA Division2 league with a tight match against a young Ely and Chesterton United (ECU) team - losing 5-3.
Against Cambridge and Cottenham, Skaters lost 6-0 after a tough game.
The final game against Letchworth A also saw them run out 6-0 losers.
The U13s squad hosted their first home tournament, with Kiean and Matthew make their debuts.
They played four games on the day, learning lots.
