Wisbech Tennis Club youngster Sophia Tjurina to represent Cambridgeshire at Corby

A tennis youngster will be representing the county after a stellar performance in the New Year.

Sophia Tjurina (15), who plays for Wisbech Tennis Club, emerged victorious from the under-18 Grade 4 section at the competition in Huntington.

Grade 4 level allows players to compete at county level.

As a result of her excellent recent form, Sophia has been invited to represent the Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club under-18 team at national level.

She will also be linking up with a Cambridgeshire team for a 12 county team event at Corby.
