Festive events at Wisbech Ballroom

Wisbech’s Tower Ballroom is getting all festive, with two Christmas events coming up.

A traditional Christmas variety show on Sunday, December 1, will be raising money for the restoration fund at Wisbech Institute and it will be followed by a family event, ‘The Elf That Saved Christmas - The Musical’, from December 12-16.

The December 1 ‘Christmas Cracker’ stars TV Royal Variety performers, Andy Leach with his magic and mayhem, and ventriloquist and comedian Richard Whymark.

‘The Elf That Saved Christmas - The Musical’ is a fun-filled, panto-styled, one act Christmas musical for the whole family with plenty of singing, dancing and festive fun.

Come along and help Bob the Elf, Father Christmas and all his friends save Christmas from the clutches of the wicked Jaqueline Frost.

After the show everyone will get to meet Santa in his sleigh and receive a free gift.

Show dates are December 12-16, at 2pm and 6pm.

Tickets are £9, which includes your Christmas present, on-line from www.ticketsource.co.uk/ninelivestheatrecompany/e-goovke or by phone on 01945 870670.

A Tower Ballroom spokesman said: “Christmas Cracker is sure to be a non-stop feast of festive variety for the whole family with plenty of laughs to kick-start your Christmas.

“It’s going to be a great Christmas at the Tower Ballroom with two great professional shows from Nine Lives Theatre Company, together with our Christmas craft fair and Santa’s Grotto on December 8, from 10am to 3pm.

“The whole venue will be decorated in a spectacular Christmas theme so, as soon as you enter the building, the magic will begin.”
