Chatteris road closures for Remembrance Sunday Parade tomorrow

The below map highlights the route of the parade through Chatteris for tomorrow's Remembrance Day commemorations.

There are a number of road closures in place which are listed below.The road closures will be lifted as soon as the parade has passed each location. Officers will be on hand to ensure this is done almost immediately. The closures will be in force from 2pm to 3.15pm.

Junction of Furrowfields and the High Street will be closed from 2pm at Jubilee Gardens traffic will be diverted via Railway Lane. This junction will reopen when the parade has passed through approx 2.3pm.

Station Street will be closed and traffic diverted via Station Road. Likely to remain closed till the end of the event at 3.15pm

Market Hill will be closed and traffic diverted via Park Street. Likely to remain closed till the end of the event at 3.15pm.

There will also be police manned closures at New Road junction with High Street once the parade has passed this will open approx 2.40pm.

A police spokesman said: "Once again please can I ask for patience and respect in these circumstances. Officers will be at scene to assist in order to reopen roads as soon as possible. The road closures have been put in place by Cambridgeshire County Council and are not directed by Cambridgeshire Constabulary."
