The hard work put in by members of a Chatteris group has been recognised.

Chatteris Royal British Legion’s Women Section returned from the annual conference in Bournemouth with a host of trophies and certificates.

Branch vice-president Joyce Mitchell was the first recipient of the National Officers Cup, which is awarded to the member who has raised the most money nationally during the last year.

Joyce has raised £1,230 by running the children’s lucky dip and tombola stalls at various events.

Secretary, Loreli Law, received the Raymond Cup, which is awarded to the member recruiting the most new members.

Standard bearer Janice Baynes was awarded the Chairman’s Cup Certificate of Merit for her dedicated service. The branch was also presented with two merit certificates for the Sir Brunel Cohen and Haig Cups.
