Wisbech man faces crown court trial on drugs charges
A Wisbech man is to stand trial at crown court after denying two counts of drug possession with intent to supply.
Kevin Jones, of St Paul’s Close, is said to have had 25.05 grams of cocaine (class A drug) and 298.4 grams of cannabis (class B) in a car stopped by police on the A10 at Setchey in Norfolk on October 31 last year.
Jones (58) appeared before magistrates in King’s Lynn on Thursday and also pleaded not guilty to obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duty on the same date.
A co-accused – 31-year-old Claire Marie Bush, of Coronation Avenue, West Winch – is charged with being concerned in the supply of those amounts of cocaine and cannabis. She is also said to have had a kitchen knife in the car.
Bush pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
The Lynn bench declined jurisdiction and the case was adjourned to the next hearing at Norwich Crown Court on August 13.
