Fenland transport firm recognised as 'phenomenal'

A Wisbech-based haulier is among those recognised as part of the HGV Heroes initiative launched by the Road Haulage Association.

The aim of the scheme is to highlight some of the fantastic work road hauliers have been doing recently, across multiple disciplines, skills and qualifications, in order to keep our country going during these challenging times.

The HGV Heroes website explained why Bretts Storage and Transport is worthy of recognition.

It said: "Over the last four months, the whole team at Bretts Storage and Transport has been phenomenal. In April 2020, Food Team International was awarded two contracts delivering over 9,000 tonnes of dried pasta to retailers and charities over a twelve-week period.

It was imperative that the handball containers were collected from port on time and that the goods were unloaded and delivered promptly in order to keep the country supplied with Pasta.

During this period, Bretts have collected over four hundred 40ft containers from port and delivered over 16,000 pallets to multiple distribution points, delivering orders on time and in full with a flexible can-do attitude towards the job.

The entire team at Bretts has shown resilience and understood the importance of maintaining and keeping supply chains moving whilst working safely and professionally. Wow, what a group of heroes!"
