Firefighters think derelict building blaze in Benwick was deliberate




Firefighters think that the cause of a fire in a derelict building in Benwick was deliberate.

Crews from Chatteris and Dogsthorpe were called to a building fire on Whittlesey Road in the village at 5.18pm on Tuesday.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they used a hose reel to extinguish a fire on the first floor of a derelict building.

Crews returned to their stations by 6.50pm.
