Gallery: Curtain set to go up on Wisbech theatre's annual panto - oh yes it is!
The curtain goes up tomorrow (Saturday) on the Angles Theatre in Wisbech's hugely popular annual pantomime.
This year the cast brings the age-old tale of boy and cat meet girl and fight King Rat - oh yes it is Dick Whittington.
Dick (Sam Rose) is off to London to seek his fortune and find out whether the streets really are paved with gold.
Along with his new found feline companion he arrives in the capital where he immediately falls in love the mayor's daughter Alice Fitzwarren (Melissa Middleton).
But he also soon finds himself trying to save London from King Rat (Billy Garner) who is determined to take over the city - will Dick save the day, win the girl and banish the rats - well he just might, but there's a whole lot of family fun before the happy ending.
As you would expect of a traditional panto there is a dame - Sarah the Cook played by Kevin Shippey; plenty of thigh slapping as well as plenty of sing-a-long songs, spectacular sets and stunning costumes.
Tickets are selling fast but there are a limited number left for tomorrow evening but there are tickets available for various performances from now until December 31when the fun comes to an end.
