General Election 2019: Count at the Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech

Verification of voting slips is well under-way at the Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech as ballot boxes from across North East Cambridgeshire constituency are slowly opened.

First indications appear to be a good win for sitting Conservative MP and Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay, but actual counting of the area's votes is not expected to start until around 2am.

Only three of the four candidates have so far arrived at the leisure centre; Diane Boyd for Labour, Ruth Johnson the Green Party and Rupert Moss-Eccardt for the Liberal Democrats.
