Man to appear back in court after police chase from March to Leverington

A man who refused a roadside drugs test has been banned from driving following a police chase.

On Sunday evening, police tried to stop a car on Hundred Road in March, but it sped off from them.

Following a pursuit by the neighbourhood and rural officers, the car was stopped at Roman Bank in Leverington.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis after he refused roadside and custody drug tests.

He was charged and appeared in court on Monday, where he was bailed until a further hearing next month.
