Manea cancer patient finds new homes for cats
A dying woman’s plea to find new homes for her cats resulted in several offers of help.
The terminally-ill cancer patient returned home to Manea from hospital recently to spend her last days with her five cats.
But she made a desperate plea for her pets to find new homes for when she passes away.
Friend Diane Rowe thanked the Citizen for highlighting the story.
She said: “Your readers came up trumps and I had a number of very genuine offers resulting in finding two perfect forever homes for both Jerry and Ginger. I even had a waiting list!
“Ginger is going to Gorefield and Jerry to March and their new owners are being wonderful about waiting until the time comes so they can bring my friend comfort during her last days.
“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to know they will be cared for and loved.”
