Over 200 enquiries made using Sarah's Law in Cambridgeshire in 2022

A total of 210 people applied for information from Cambridgeshire Police using Sarah's Law in 2022.

Sarah's Law was set up following a campaign by Sara Payne, whose eight-year-old daughter Sarah, was abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered by paedophile Roy Whiting in 2000.

The little girl was taken less than five miles from the known sex offender's home.

Sarah Payne had a law named after her which allows families to check whose living in their area and might pose a threat to children. (61993620)

The law allows anyone (not just parents) to find out if an adult, who has access to a child, poses a risk to them.
