Red Arrows spotted in skies over Walpole St Peter ahead of display for King Charles on Saturday
Residents were treated to a feast for the eyes as the iconic Red Arrows were spotted in the skies above Walpole St Peter yesterday evening.
The military jets made their way through the area and were seen flying over the village, as they set off on a route from and back to RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.
The jets took off from the RAF base at around 6.57pm, reaching the Donington area at 7.01pm, and they were set to be in the skies above Walpole St Peter by 7.04pm.
Fenland Citizen photographer Adam Fairbrother spotted the Red Arrows over the village yesterday and got these fantastic shots as they went by.
It comes as an extended military flypast will taking place following the first birthday parade for King Charles since he became the monarch tomorrow, after the display on Coronation Day had to be scaled down due to bad weather.
Around 70 aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force will take part in a flypast for Trooping the Colour on Saturday, marking the first birthday flypast for Charles.
The event will end in a show of red, white and blue from the pilots of the Red Arrows.
