Chatteris to be affected by closures while resurfacing and improvements to roads take place
Road closures are going to be in place over the next month while works are being carried out to improve the roads.
At Tuesday evening’s Chatteris Town Council meeting, clerk Joanna Melton mentioned several works planned which will cause disruptions around the town.
The works to Mepal Bridge started from 8am this morning and will be in place until 5am on Monday, and then run for the next four weekends and the one at the beginning of July if it is required.
Mrs Melton said there is resurfacing work being done on the Forty Foot Bank near Chatteris until June 30, as well as Doddington Road between Albert Way and the Chatteris, with carriageway patchingon July from 7-9.
She also mentioned that she had been notified of a new Tiger double-decker bus, which is going to go from Wisbech to Chatteris via Emneth, Outwell, Christchurch, and Manea.
