Wisbech street dance crews shine at championships

Members of a Wisbech dance academy are celebrating after scooping awards at a regional street dance competition.

Two dance crews from LJ’s Dance Academy, an Under 9s group and an adult group, competed at the East Anglia Street Dance Championships.

The crews beat off stiff competition to both come away with second place medals.

Laura Jayne Shippey, who runs the academy, said: “All of these students are local people and most of them have only ever trained at my academy. I am incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.”
