Bridget Knowles, 56, and her friend Anita Evans have been running a Facebook raffle page since the pandemic where people can make suggestions to raise funds for worthy causes.

Having previously raised money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, Help For Heroes and Magpas Air Ambulance, the month of March will see them arrange a number of fundraisers for Grace’s son.

Bridget said: “Grace Robinson was killed tragically and we have permission from her mum to fundraise for a month for Grace’s three-year-old son to put into a trust fund for him.

“We know it won’t being his mum back but we want him to know there are people thinking about him and supporting him.

“Every month we do a different charity and there is a poll on the page for people to vote or suggest a worthy cause and make nominations.

“We support families who need a little something extra in life and we have raises £60,000 in the last three years and we were nominated for the Pride awards in Fenland.

“We especially like to raise money for kids and a good example is when we raised money for a young lad who was having chemotherapy.”

Tombola bingo will take place at Chatteris Working Men’s Club on March 3, 6, 20, 27 and 3, and on Friday, March 10, there will be a clairvoyant evening with Paul Manwaring and Stephen Raynor. To donate prizes call Bridget Knowles 07985 127859
