Wormegay pupil wins place on swimming squad
A young swimmer has won a place on a squad which will be competing at a contest later this year.
Wormegay Primary School pupil Ellen Jenner will be representing West Norfolk partnership at the Norfolk School Games in March.
Nine-year-old Ellen won her place on the squad after winning the overall heats for Year 4 butterfly during recent swimming galas.
She was part of a small squad taking part in the cluster and partnership level galas.
Medals were also presented to Wormegay pupils: Harry Swanscott, Harry Fysh Sarah Hiett.
A school spokesman has congratulated the pupils.
She said: “Swimming is an integral part of the PE curriculum at Wormegay, every child in Key Stage Two participates in an hour’s swimming lesson, each week for the autumn term, each year.”
